Booth # SL591
Come visit PNY Technologies and NVIDIA Corporation at NAB 2006 to see for yourself why the NVIDIA
Quadro FX by PNY advanced workstation graphic boards are the perfect solution for film and
television production.
At NAB 2006 our high performance graphic boards will power leading applications such as HD video
editing, real time on-air HD broadcast graphics, and real time color finishing at HD and 2K
resolutions. Adopted by major television networks and film companies, NVIDIA Quadro SDI solutions
have been integrated with numerous broadcast and video applications from industry leaders to enable
high definition live-to-air 3D
graphics, broadcast news, traffic and weather graphics, 2k digital film
playback and digital intermediate uses.
Booth Demonstrations:
Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 with HD monitoring
We will demonstrate why the NVIDIA Quadro FX by PNY Technologies is the graphic board of choice for
Adobe Premiere users. NVIDIA Quadro FX by PNY graphic boards offer Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 users direct
GPU acceleration capabilities that both increase application performance and dramatically enhance the
workflow for editing HD video footage. Fundamental tasks, such as scaling and positioning multiple
layers of video, color correction, and cross-dissolve effects are all driven interactively on the GPU
through the power of pixel shaders. Real-time HD Component, S-Video and composite video connections
can be used for video editing, DVD authoring, and HDTV graphic board output.
Adobe After Effects 7.0 with "plug-in" for NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 SDI by PNY
We will show you how to speed up your production using Adobe After Effects 7.0. Adobe After Effects
7.0. builds upon a strong base of GPU acceleration in prior versions, by allowing artists to use the
GPU for both high fidelity previews and final rendering. This latest version enables artists to work
in a true 3D space, and offers comprehensive GPU acceleration of motion blur, lights, shadows,
blending, color correction, blurs, and matting. After Effects 7.0 also takes advantage of the memory
on NVIDIA Quadro graphic boards to improve video playback performance and duration.
In addition, we will demonstrate the new 'plug-in" for use with After Effects 7.0 for the NVIDIA
Quadro FX 4500 SDI, an integrated graphics-to-video solution used by broadcast, video, and film
professionals. This plug-in offers real-time preview of content being created, directly on standard
or high definition SDI broadcast monitors, from within the After Effects application environment.

Creative Bridge Takes Production Editing On Location
After years of on-location digital film shooting and film production experience, the founders of
Creative Bridge, set out to re-define post-production in the film and professional video industry.
The concept had the potential to revolutionize the creative process for producing digital content;
Creative Bridge would take the production lab on location.
"We built a mobile digital lab and theater (MDLT) in a truck 36 feet long and 10 feet high," explained
Dan Lion, partner and co-founder of Creative Bridge "We ingest the digital film into our truck, on-set,
and allow cinematographers, directors and editors to review the data, make edit decisions and
color-correct circle takes, in a non-destructive fashion and output these decisions, along with
custom looks and the original 4:4:4 data, without leaving the location."
"We needed a really fast machine," recalled Lion, "one that could handle our unique workflow
requirements and integrate seamlessly to support our choice of data-centric/DI software, SCRATCH
by ASSIMILATE. Globalstor's ExtremeStor DI was the best solution we found to be able to handle that
much data."
The solution Globalstor Data recommended to Creative Bridge incorporates 24, 400GB hot-swappable SATA
hard drives for up to 9.6TB of local storage, providing Creative Bridge's clients with exceptional
post-production capabilities. Paired with SCRATCH and the NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 SDI by PNY Technologies
graphic board, ExtremeStor-DI is a fault-tolerant high definition DI solution providing real-time
playback at HD and 2K resolutions as well as offering a complete end-to-end pipeline connecting the
filmmaking process from production through DI post production.
"With a mobile lab, on location, we are able to offer immediacy. Yes, you're saving time and the cost
of the film transfer and the telecine costs and all that, but the real thing is that you're going to
have more time to be creative, more time to tell your story" said Brian Gaffney, partner and co-founder
of Creative Bridge.
