Advantages over traditional RAID
Windows Driverless
No performance loss during or after hard drive failure
Can hot-swap hard drives to upgrade or replace failed drives
Automatic rebuild of new hard drive while continuing to operate as normal
Uses less hard drives for a greater level of protection
Maximizes available hard drive space
Minimally tasks the CPU, even during drive failure
Fast / Easy Installation (simply "Plug-and-Play")
Allows the user to mix/match HDD configurations & Brands

Product Benefits
Driverless Windows® XP/2000/2003 install
  • uses industry standard built in OS-IDE drivers
  • avoids WHQL certification of drivers
  • OEM support greatly simplified
  • Simple patch for current Linux versions - driverless in future kernel
    Single touch auto-configuration
Zero additional time to set-up a full striped-parity performance RAID
  • 15s longer than a single disk drive

  • System Requirements
Important notice for Windows® XP users:
If your array will be larger than 137GB, you must upgrade to Service Pack 2.
Windows® XP with Service Pack 1a or later, Windows® 2K with Service Pack 3 or later or Windows® 2003. Note: Windows® 95, 98 or ME are NOT supported.
Available 32 or 64-bit PCI or PCI-X slot
Serial ATA 150 MB/Sec compatible hard drives (minimum 3 for 3XL or 5 for 5XL array). to maximize total array size, all drives must be of the same capacity.
1.5MBytes of free system boot drive disk space for the configuration and management utility
Good quality Power Supply (350 Watts for a system with 3 drives, and 450 Watts for a system with 5 drives) and adequate cooling and air circulation is HIGHLY recommended.
