Fifth-Generation Tensor Cores

Fifth-generation Tensor Cores deliver a massive leap in performance and efficiency over the previous generation, supporting a range of data formats including new FP4, TF32, BF16, FP16, FP8, INT8, and FP6, and enabling faster performance and lower memory with FP4 quantization.

Fourth-generation RT Cores

Fourth-generation RT Cores deliver over 2X performance over the previous generation, accelerating rendering performance for M&E content creation, product design, and virtual prototyping and enabling real-time rendering of complex, film-quality materials with enhanced RT Cores and neural shader technology.

Enhanced Memory Subsystem

The NVIDIA RTX PRO 4500 Blackwell features 32GB of GDDR7 memory, supporting demanding workflows. This is over 50% additional memory capacity and a 2.5X boost in memory bandwidth, 800GB/s per GPU, versus the NVIDIA L4. Data processing, AI inference, content creation, CAD workflows, and compute-intensive video tasks benefit from improved performance, ensuring smoother operations and increased efficiency for resource-intensive projects.

Ninth-Generation NVENC Engine 

NVIDIA RTX PRO 4500 Blackwell features 3x ninth-generation NVIDIA encoders, enabling nearly 2X the streaming capacity of the previous generation.. They support 4:2:2 encoding for H.264 and HEVC video. The Blackwell architecture enhances encoding efficiency, improving H.265 quality by 15% and AV1 quality by 10%. It also introduces accelerated MV-HEVC encoding for multi-view applications and a new Ultra High Quality (UHQ) AV1 encode mode, boosting AV1 quality by an additional 10%.

Sixth-Generation NVDEC Engine

The Blackwell architecture enhances hardware decoding capabilities with support for 4:2:2 color format decoding for H.264, HEVC video, and 3x NVDEC engines on RTX PRO 4500. Added hardware-accelerated decoding for Motion JPEG (mJPEG) improves performance for applications, such as some surveillance systems and professional video equipment.

Multi-Instance GPU (MIG)

MIG allows partitioning of fully isolated GPU instances, each with its own high-bandwidth memory, cache, and compute cores, offering more flexibility in resource allocation. The RTX PRO 4500 Blackwell can support up to 2 MIG instances with 16 GB of memory each. MIG allows professionals to run multiple smaller workloads concurrently with guaranteed quality of service, maximize GPU utilization for tasks that don't require the full GPU, and provide isolated environments for different applications or users on a single GPU.

PCIe Gen 5

NVIDIA RTX PRO 4500 Blackwell supports PCIe Gen 5, doubling PCIe Gen 4's bandwidth to 64GB/s for x16 connections. This enables faster data transfer for AI, data science, and 3D modeling from large datasets. PCIe Gen 5 enhances CPU-GPU communication, improving workflow efficiency and accelerating GPU DMA transfers, GPUDirect® for Video, and GPUDirect Storage IO.

2nd-Generation Transformer Engine 

Blackwell Tensor Cores add new precisions, including new community-defined micro scaling formats, giving high accuracy and greater throughput. The Blackwell Transformer Engine utilizes advanced dynamic range management algorithms and fine-grain scaling techniques, called micro-tensor scaling, to optimize performance and accuracy and enable FP4 AI.

DLSS

DLSS Multi Frame Generation generates up to three additional frames per traditionally rendered frame, working in unison with the complete suite of DLSS technologies to multiply frame rates by up to 8X over traditional brute-force rendering. Experience faster frame rates and stunning image quality in supported game engines and 3D rendering applications for smoother, more responsive performance.

NVIDIA Blackwell CUDA Cores

NVIDIA Blackwell architecture-based CUDA cores deliver 50 TFLOPS of single-precision floating-point (FP32) throughput of the previous generation, driving significant performance gains for graphics workflows like 3D model development and compute workloads like simulation for CAE, with support for FP32, FP16, and BF16 precisions.
